TMZ is reporting that the man claiming he invented Tommy Lee’s roller coaster drum solo has filed suit against the drummer.
Scott King, an L.A. based engineer’s suit claims he approached Lee back in 1991 with an initial design for a drum-roller coaster for his concerts, and Lee stole the idea.
King is demanding $400,000 in damages for the theft.
The engineer sent Lee a warning letter last month promising to sue the drummer if he didn’t pay him, and now King has followed up on that threat.
Tommy Lee’s attorneys responded by saying that Lee came up with the idea for a drum roller coaster, and King has never pitch any idea to the drummer.
